LabLink was created by two Middlebury students who experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to find undergraduate research opportunities. While incredible research is happening across campus, students often struggle to know which faculty are actively looking for researchers, and professors frequently receive large numbers of emails from students simply asking whether positions are available.

We believed there had to be a better way. LabLink was built to make research opportunities more transparent, accessible, and organized. Instead of relying on word of mouth or sending dozens of cold emails, students can discover opportunities that match their interests, experience, and availability. At the same time, faculty can share opportunities with interested students through a simple, centralized platform.

Throughout the development of LabLink, we've spoken with professors and students across campus to better understand their experiences and the challenges they face. Their feedback has shaped our vision of creating a platform that works for everyone involved.

Our goal is simple: help more students get involved in research while making the recruitment process easier for faculty. We hope LabLink helps strengthen the connection between students and mentors and makes undergraduate research more accessible across campus.
